GroupMath

Group theory code for Mathematica

GroupMath is a Mathematica package containing several functions related to Lie Algebras and the permutation group. It inherits some of its code from the Susyno package .

Note that the latest version of the Sym2Int code requires GroupMath.

Installing the code

GroupMath can be obtained from this page:

(GroupMath 1.1.2)

The GroupMath folder should be placed inside the Applications subfolder of one of the two special directories defined by Mathematica: $BaseDirectory or $UserBaseDirectory. Often the paths are the following ones:

/usr/share/Mathematica/Applications
Linux

/home/(computer name)/.Mathematica/Applications
Linux

C:\ProgramData\Mathematica\Applications
Windows

C:\Users\(computer name)\AppData\Roaming\Mathematica\Applications
Windows

~/Library/Mathematica/Applications/GroupMath
macOS

To load the program, type in the front end

<<GroupMath`

Documentation

A tutorial discussing several of the available functions can be found here .

Furthermore, the program includes built-in documentation files which describe in detail each of the available functions. These files can be accessed directly from Mathematica, provided that the GroupMath folder was placed inside the Applications subfolder of either $BaseDirectory or $UserBaseDirectory.
